Photos!

I may still be in the "quantity over quality" phase, but I've been having fun with my digital cameras ... given some time, hopefully the online albums will improve a bit more. (Links are over off to the side).

Dance!

Houston has a great social dance scene ... you can find some of just about anything you're looking for, but mostly I dance Swing. West Coast Swing's my favorite, but I could never abandon my Lindy Hop pals.
  • Check out the Swing & Lindy scene on Houston Swing Out.
  • For West Coast Swing & Whip, the best spot in the city is SWWC.
  • For Lindy Hop classes check out HSDS
  • If you're just looking for others kinds of lessons in general, SSQQ dance studio caters well to beginners (I started there, back in 2000).
Live music's the best ... head on over to The Big Easy on Thursdays!

Aquariums!

Um, I'd better save updates and pictures for when the water's not quite so murky ... things went from good to great to outta control to ... neglected. Soon, improvements!

Snowboarding!

I started Snowboarding over New Years, 2000... good stuff! Sadly, I haven't gotten to go in the past couple years, but perhaps for Spring 2008, the time is right!

Favorite spot: Brighton, Utah -- it may not be a big resort, but every bit of it is fun!

The Cat!

Long long ago, around ...hmmm ... 1994, everyone started putting up homepages, but nobody had anything to say, so the race was on to find the most-compelling content of the day. It was a sad day. The most compelling content was the online Shrine El Gato.

Here's mine. His name's Chewie. I rescued him from my apartment parking lot in 1996. He's a big cat but the vet claims "he's not fat, he's just big boned!!" (you should see my vet, though...).

He also clearly has some genetic "issues", starting with his wimpy "I never grew up!" meow, continuing with some oddly-sized toes, and topped off with his most-impressive (for a male cat) feature: he appears to be a Calico!

The obligatory Cat Pictures are of course online, stashed away in the photo album.

Chewie's getting old. He's 11 this year, and has diabetes now. He gets shots 1 to 2 times a day. Despite all this, he's doing well!

New Homepage, New Blog

For now, I'm just aiming to resuscitate the content I had up previously ... and then move on to anything more-ambitious!
